White Kilim

Stunning kilim with intricate embroidery. Often these rugs have long fringe on one side only, it shows that the rug was woven by hand as the older weaving frames don't allow for extra when a rug is begun. It is unique to see such strong character in a rug. Made of hand-spun wool and dyed with natural dyes. Rugs like this read like books, with each section being slightly different. The colors (and story) are not entirely predictable or symmetrical, which make it a work of art and true to life. This is a piece that will last forever. It comes to us directly from a cooperative in Western Turkey.
